Do USB data blockers really work?

Yes, USB data blockers are extremely effective at stopping data theft through public or unknown USB ports. They work by physically altering the connection between your device and the USB socket. 

Standard USB cables contain both power and data lines. A data blocker will cut data pins, allowing only the power lines to connect. This blocks any attempts to transfer files, install malware or run hidden scripts, making it impossible for a man-in-the-middle attack to take place during charging.

Can data blockers be used on power banks?

2. Next, insert the data blocker into your computer and your charging cable into the usb data blocker.You will not see the phone icon, indicating the data blocker is working.  

3. If the phone icon does not show up, the USB data blocker is working, your data is safe.
